Today, Congressman John Moolenaar announced his endorsement from the United States Chamber of Commerce.
"I am working to safely re-open and rebuild the economy for hardworking Michigan families. Businesses large and small are facing new challenges and in the past few months so many of them have taken steps to provide for their employees and support the communities they serve," Moolenaar said. "My focus is on rebuilding a prosperous economy, with low unemployment and rising wages. I am thankful to the U.S. Chamber for its support and believe that innovation and entrepreneurship from Michigan businesses and workers will help lead us through these challenging times."
Congressman Moolenaar has a long record of voting for new laws that support Michigan families, including cutting tax rates for every family, a $2,000 per child tax credit, job training programs that help students prepare for good-paying job opportunities, and pay increases for U.S. troops. He also voted for the new USMCA trade agreement that levels the playing field for Michigan workers in manufacturing and opens new markets for Michigan farmers to sell their products. Finally, as Michigan's senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, he successfully led the effort to build a new lock at the Soo Locks, which is critical to protecting the future of America's industrial economy, and ensured the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative was fully funded to help protect thousands of Michigan jobs in fishing, boating, and tourism industries.
