Today, Congressman John Moolenaar announced his endorsement from Michigan Farm Bureau's member-driven political advocacy group, AgriPac.
“Michigan's strong and vibrant agriculture industry contributes over $100 billion to the state’s economy and I am committed to providing leadership in Washington that will enable Michigan farmers to sell more products to more customers, ensure federal regulations do not impede farm operations, and maintain crucial farm programs,” Moolenaar said. “I have met with farmers regularly since being elected to Congress and I appreciate all they do each day to put food on the tables of Michigan residents. I want to thank Michigan AgriPac for its endorsement, and I look forward to serving the Fourth District and its 15,000 farmers in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Congressman Moolenaar is a member of the House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Agriculture. He has fought for the 15,000 farmers of the Fourth District by opposing regulations that would let federal bureaucrats have power over mud puddles and ditches on farmers’ fields. He has voted for trade deals, including the USMCA, that will open new markets for Michigan farmers. He most recently supported the passage of the CARES Act, which provided much-needed assistance for agricultural producers to help alleviate the negative impacts the Coronavirus pandemic has had on the food supply chain and the economy.
