Today, Congressman John Moolenaar announced his endorsement from the Michigan Corn Growers Association.
“Growing up, I remember visiting my grandparents’ small farm in Indiana and helping my grandfather. As I meet with farmers across the Fourth District, I often reflect on the hard work and values instilled by my grandparents and parents.” Moolenaar said. “It is an honor to represent corn growers and all of the 15,000 farmers in the Fourth District. Agriculture is vital to our communities and I will continue to be a voice for the hardworking men and women of mid and northern Michigan."
As a member of the House Appropriation Committee’s Subcommittee on Agriculture, Congressman Moolenaar has a strong record supporting our farmers. He has voted for important policies like the USMCA trade agreement, ensuring farmers are able to sell their products to more consumers around the world as well as the Farm Bill, helping to preserve federal farm programs for generations to come. He most recently supported the passage of the CARES Act, which provided much-needed assistance for agricultural producers to help alleviate the negative impacts the Coronavirus pandemic has had on the food supply chain and the economy.
